For those that don’t know me here’s a short bio….….

In the 1970’s I worked full time as an announcer and in sales for WTRQ in Warsaw, NC

In the late 1970’s I moved to WEGG in Rose Hill, NC.

In the 1980’s I worked for WRNS in Kinston as an announcer and salesperson for WFTC.

From 1984 to 2003 I produced and managed “Carolina Classics with Mack Jones” a syndicated Beach, R&B and Shag radio show.  We were heard on 60 radio stations in NC, VA, SC, GA, and FL.  What fun!!!! 

In the 1990’s I owned and operated WZKB-FM in Wallace where I literally did a little bit of everything.

From 1977 to 2010 I owned, operated and managed an independent agribusiness in Duplin County.  It was hard rewarding work .  I had 130 acres of tobacco, 220 acres of wheat, 135 acres of corn and 220 acres of soybearns, and a 4 house 2,800 head hog operation.  Looking back, I’m not sure where I found the time.

Over the years I’ve had privilege of serving the Wallace community on the downtown revitalization board and as VP and President of the Chamber of Commerce.  In 1989 I was recognized as the Weekend Wonder on WRNS and in  I996 I was honored to receive the Billy Scott lifetime achievement award from the Beach Music Industry.

AND I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST....IN 2009 I JOINED THE GREAT TEAM AT 1070 WNCT AND AM PLAYING ALL MY FAVORITE CAROLINA CLASSICS!  THANKS FOR LISTENING AND GIVE ME A CALL.  I’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
